This morning, we were shocked to see Owen holding his head up for an extended amount of time during "tummy time" AND he rolled over from stomach to his back for the first time! Very exciting times!

Two posts in one day...WOW!!!

Here is Owen's 2 month benchmark photo...couldn't get many good smiles out of him~he's had a stuffy nose and has been in a pretty cranky mood lately.

We also wanted to share some pictures of Owen in his "travel" swing (AKA bed when he doesn't want to go to sleep at night!), and the boys sporting their new sun hats.

Hang Time

Thought we'd share some pics from Owen's chill time yesterday. He loves to lay or sit on our bed and stare at the ceiling fan...great, cheap entertainment! :-)

O has his 2 month appointment on Wednesday, and will get his first shots. Hopefully they won't be TOO bad...He's still battling his first cold, which has been a lot of fun for us at night when he can't sleep. It seems to be getting better, but we're definitely ready for it to be completely gone!

Travels and other fun stuff

This past weekend we drove up to Portland for Passover. It was great to have wonderful food and for Owen to meet lots of new family. Here are some pictures of him with a few of his aunts, uncles, and cousins!

If there was ever any doubt...

We found this site online, and thought it would be fun to try out! According to this, Owen is a 50/50 mixture of the two of us, although there are definite features that are obviously from each of us!

We are heading to Portland for the weekend for Passover, and are looking forward to seeing family and shopping in the "big" city. Many of our relatives haven't met Owen yet, so it will be fun to pass him around! It's also our first long trip with Owen, so wish us luck! :-)

Slobber & Puppy Kisses

Up until recently, Otis has taken very little interest in Owen. His favorite thing to do is slobber over the food he's not allowed to have (as pictured above) and lick people faces...today, Owen got to experience this firsthand, and took it like a trooper! They're sure to be best buddies as they both grow up together (although you wouldn't guess that Otis is still a puppy, seeing as he's pushing 80 pounds already!).

Bottles and Bouncers

Yesterday, Owen got to have his first bottle. At first he looked at daddy like he was CRAZY, but then guzzled it down once he realized it had liquid gold inside! Then he crashed out with a long nap. All in all, a good day for him! :-)

He's also been starting to really enjoy the bouncer. He loves sitting up high and watching us make funny faces at him. Sometimes he even makes a face back at us!

Belly buttons, smiles, and other fun stuff...

Today we took Owen to the pediatrician because we wanted to make sure his unusually large outie belly button was okay. Apparently he has a herniated belly button, which we were told should resolve itself in time, but in the meantime, is pretty fun to push on and watch it pop out again!

We've also been getting some good smiles from Owen lately as he's become more responsive to what's around him. But the biggest news today is that Owen is now weighing in at a whopping 11 lbs 1 1/2 ounces! That's over 2 pounds gained in about 2 weeks ~ not bad!

Drew's parents leave tonight for Albuquerque, and our next family trip will be in a few weeks when we head to Portland for Passover with Allison's family. Drew and his dad got a ton of "projects"
done around the house, so now whenever anyone comes to visit, they can ring the doorbell and actually have someone hear it to come and answer it! Very exciting for us. :-)
