In honor of Jer :o)

Jeremy asked Drew to "have the wife update the blog," so here's a shout out for Jer!

I thought now would be a good time to say adios for the week. We leave on our road trip tomorrow morning, and plan to make it to San Francisco to stay with Jen, Josh & Isabel tomorrow night. We'll continue on to San Diego on Wednesday, where we're looking forward to seeing old friends and Susan & Ricky get married (FINALLY!)! So...look for pictures next week when we get back, and cross your fingers that Owen decides to sleep A LOT on the drive! :o)

We drove up to Portland to see Julie and Jeff's new baby, Logan. He is SO cute and tiny! Here are some pictures from our visit:

Adventures in eating

Today Owen tried rice cereal for the first time. We were told by the pediatrician to start by just putting it on our fingers, since babies often aren't thrilled with the spoon when they first get it, but by the end of the feeding O was ready for the spoon (and COVERED in goop!). I think more got on him than in him, but it was a fun new experience!

This past week was a lot of fun. Yesterday Nancy & Paul Talmey who were visiting from Telluride stopped by to see Owen...




On Wednesday we walked down to the Farmer's Market in Drake Park...










He's either telling me where to stick the camera :o) or working on mastering sucking his fingers AND picking his nose at the same time...



And on Thursday we walked to Drake Park for the first Munch & Music reggae style (Owen sported his tye-dye onesie for the occasion!)...



This week we're hoping to finish up our never-ending landscaping project and hopefully sell my car. We have Munch & Music again on Thursday, and our first "official" babysitter coming on Tuesday afternoon...hopefully Owen is all smiles for her! :o)
